Dr Peter Hodgkinson

I am a general surgeon with special interest in liver, gallbladder, bile duct, pancreas and transplant surgery. I am the Director of the Queensland Liver Transplant Service at Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

I am from Queensland and graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland. I completed general surgical training in QLD and then travelled to NSW and the USA for further training.

I enjoyed my time abroad, however, I am glad to be back in Brisbane working at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in the hepatobiliary and liver transplant units, and at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

My areas of special interest are laparoscopic surgery of the liver, bile duct, pancreas and liver transplantation.
